MGM credit card for free parking?

I know that this isn’t necessarily related to video poker, but does anyone here use the MGM M Life credit card just to receive free parking and buffet line passes? Is it relatively easy and hassle free?

Also, I heard that the Hyatt credit card will automatically give you an even higher MGM status (free valet parking and more). Does anyone here have this? Recommended?

Lastly, I read on here a long time ago that there was some club or membership somewhere to sign up for for roughly $200 or so that would automatically upgrade your MGM status as a connected partner, but I can’t recall what it was. Any thoughts from others?

I did the credit card thing a week before coming out to Las Vegas. It took maybe 30 seconds online. We have many friends that play at Mandalay Bay, Bellagio and other MGM properties and we visit them for dinner all the time, so the parking was going to really tick me off (we rarely play MGM any more). If they had kept the “locals” exemption, it wouldn’t have been necessary as we also have a vacation home in Vegas. Even though we did not receive the actual credit cards before we came out, me and my wife both received the Pearl card when we went to the Mlife booth upon arrival.

Sorry, forgot to mention one IMPORTANT exception. The card only gets you self-parking. Valet parking is still FULL price, so if you can’t do a lot of walking (like my wife), then the card may not benefit you unless you can pull up and drop off the person with mobility issues and then go use self-park.
