I’ll be traveling to Horseshoe Southern Indiana and Harrah’s Metropolis. Is there any good VP left and if so where?

Metropolis and Southern Indians
We were in Metropolis at the end of June and it is a dump. They have plans to rebuild the casino (on land) and restaurants but it is scheduled to be complete at the end of the year. The staff at the hotel is incompetent and the restaurants are awful right now. No VP is worth playing. Right now the casino is a boat and is tiny and cramped.
The town itself is interesting if you are in to Superman.

And I’m sorry to had to Barry’s downer re Metropolis, but I consider Southern Indiana to be a mixed bag as well (mostly on the sour side).
Southern Indiana reportedly has decimated most of their formerly strong inventory, but may have a few decent offerings left (per vpfree2). More importantly, in my book, is that I don’t find them trustworthy.
Bev and I recorded initial play there last year against “loss rebate” offers we were mailed. When we looked to get something back in the mail, we were disappointed. Asked to investigate, they merely came back with a vague, “your play didn’t qualify”.
It wasn’t until we referred the problem to our NCM host, who had booked us in, that SI’s feet were finally held to the fire and they made good on the offer.
We redeemed the rewarded FSP and haven’t been back (not so much because of the treatment, but because our play offers have generally been mediocre relative to our other options).

Yep. Metropolis is sorta neat if you have any interest in Superman. My g/f and I really don’t, but we still posed in the Superman/Superwoman cutouts anyway. lol
As for VP, yeah, pretty much sucks. But when the 2012 “Race to Rewards” was on, the 7/5 DDB multi-way progressive was near a Double Royal…so it was a reasonable ~98% to try to earn 25 Tier Credits on. Did I hit anything on it…no. I really miss that promo though…
