How about getting back on track and limiting the non video
poker stuff to personal mail?
Or, if non-VP subjects were marked XVP, you could divert them to a
separate file and then delete the whole file periodically.
A workable coding system that everyone understands and uses correctly
would have many advantages, but I think that this is a utopian concept
which doesn't work very well in actual practice.
A major problem is that no one knows what XVP (or XXVP etc.) means.
Does it mean "off topic" or does it mean "anything other than video
poker theory" or what ? How do you classify tax discussions,
administrative posts, comp discussions etc. ? One person's XVP may not
be XVP to others. Incorrect coding by confused/forgetful posters can
lead to diverting/overlooking messages that you didn't want
diverted/overlooked.
It's certainly OK to use an "XVP" or "OT" code if you like, but
vpFREE's official policy is limited to encouraging the accurate naming
of each subject thread, and to rename or start a new thread when the
thread content changes.
