Message from Bob Dancer

In all of his kudos, Dancer didn't bother to mention that he wrote for Video Poker Times for several issues in 1994. Although he seems unashamed about the many things he tells about in his book, he apparently doesn't want to remind readers that he got his start in writing about video poker in a newsletter that dared to discuss possible anomalies in the workings of the games.

This is not meant critically, but I've read this several times and the
wording is just indirect enough that I'm not 100% sure I'm picking up
on the intent ... but I get the feeling it's negative.

  I get the same feeling of negativity. It reads to me as if Dan
Paymer felt that he should have gotten some mention (credit?) for
BD'S early vp writing success.

I'll grant you that and won't suggest that it wouldn't have been more
than warranted. But it was the statement containing the word
"ashamed" that seemed to possibly be saying much more than that.
