When a machine tech recalls the hands played on a machine, what shows
up? Is it the first five cards dealt or the final five cards played
or what?
I had a tech recall the last 24 hands (he said that is all that is in
memory) and some of them did not look too familar. The reason I had
this done was that when I hit the re-deal button, a deuce that I had
held (and yes, I know it showed that is was held) un-held itself.
Fortunately no major harm was done, but it could have been bad. I knew
that the memory was limited but I continued to play until a tech went
by and I was going to inform him of a possible problem. If there is
such a thing as justice, I continued to play on that machine and got
the four deuces twice for a nice $420 profit for the day.
So without any comments about what I should have done, could someone
just tell me what is stored in memory regarding the previous hands.
As an addendum, has anyone ever had this happen to them and does
anybody know what causes it. I had an even worse case of this happen
to me in a Biloxi casino several years ago and even though it was
witnessed by a slot attendant (it was happening faily often) the tech
ran his check on the machine, which basically seems to just show that
the key is making contact and said everything was ok. I suggested
that they shut down the machine as it had been witnessed by a slot
attendant and was told that they could not do that. Needless to say,
I was quite perturbed and did not play on that machine anymore.
