I take pictures & record exceptional events like getting 4 deuces on a
redraw or being dealt two royals on the top line of multi-strike. I do enjoy
myself & hope to always enjoy my trips win or lose. The standard that I use
to make the losing trips more palatable are the many vacations that I've
taken where I had no chance of breaking even. Also my goals are evolving as
about half my trips involve friends or family & their schedules so having a
good play is not always possible. Even though every year things are changing
to make it tougher to win, I'll still continue to go but probably less
often as I do want to repeat a few vacations where my money went North. As for
a memory that I don't want to be repeated -- I remember when Beat the
Dealer came out, I bought it, memorized the tables, used it on weekends & won
but I could only last for 3 months because it was too much like work!

Recreational players remember the big wins, because they are exceptional.
