Memorial Day 2007

I just returned from a great stay in Laughlin over Memorial Day. I
have a couple observations:

I played table games (the craps "tub") at Edgewater. After about 15
minutes, the dealers were all frenzied and gave me an invitation for
three nights free through July 31, this after I bet and made a
couple of pass lines for them.

I've never seen more kids under 12, especially late at night, at the
Edgewater. There were kids staying in the suites in the Adult South
Tower at Harrah's, too.

The weekend was very crowded as usual. Lots of water in the river,
and tons of wave runners. Everybody seemed to be having a good time.

Gas prices, even at the usually inflated Laughlin outlets, were much
less than we're paying in Albuquerque. We're being gouged!

See you in November!

Gas was even cheaper in Kingman and Flagstaff AZ.

We stayed at River Palms, played there mostly, but also played at GN,
Pioneer, and CB. CB had a lot of machines marked as being shut down. I
don't know if that was because of the inventory hamstockman referred
to, of if those machines were being removed. Got a 4 deuces at RP, and
a nickel royal as well.

RP seems to be aware that most of their customers are baby boomers
now. There was a very good covers band at RP called "TKO," playing
rock oldies as well as recent stuff. Worth seeing.
