Now that's scary. I've been on top of that volcano (el Teide) by bus and
funicular and I didn't feel at all threatened. It was hot and it was sulfurous
smelling but they let us look up there with no problems.
The island of Las Palmas is a volcanic one with gorgeous black sand beaches -
quite spectacular. It's sad to think that there might be destruction on its
way all the way over there near Spain.
