Disagree all you want when we are discussing a "theoretical"
situation, but please, please, please, look at the specific
circumstances of your situation, if you ever find yourself facing a
decision like that. I am not thinking of you. I am thinking of your
loved ones. You could be putting your heirs under serious finiacial
risk, and, at the very least, severe and time consuming inconvenience,
in many, many instances, if you chose the annuity route, and then you
subsequently died before the annuity ran out. That is why I used the
specific words that I did (good, reputable, and respected). I did not
choose those words lightly.
