Meadows Casino - PA

I was just at Meadows Casino in Pennsylvania about a half hour SW of
Pittsburgh.

I have a few updates. The best game I saw was a quarter 8/5 Jacks or
Better game that was labeled "Bonus" poker but paid 30 coins on all
four of a kinds. This 8/5/30 JOB game was at the bar in the casino.
The payback on this game is around 98.4 percent. There is also a game
listed All-America Poker at the bar but the four of a kinds are shorted
to a regular 25 coins. Shorting All-America Poker to 25 coin four of a
kinds (instead of the normal 50 coins) makes it a 97% game.

The second best game I saw was 7/5 bonus boker in denominations from
five cents up to $2. They also have 7/5 BP in 3/5/10 play from five
cents up to $2.

I was there on a weekday and there were a lot of people. I guess
Pennsylvania is hungry for gambling.

Thanks for the Meadows VP report. The 98.4% return
might be low by LV standards, but it's much better
than the nearest casinos (Mountaineer Park & Wheeling
Downs) in West Virginia.
Not only is Western PA starved for good gambling, so
are
us in Eastern Ohio.

In addition CB is none. Players card will award the player with a
crummy less than one tenth of a percent comp value. It might be
worth going there for a night at the races; but not now. The horse
track is shut down.

Cheers

I have never seen the super full-pay version of All American(AA) with
50 coin 4 OAK. They were rumored to be in the Kansas City area 10
years ago but were quickly burned out by burn-out specialists. The
standard full-pay AA payout for 4 OAK is only 40 coins (200 coin
payout for 5 coins in).

You are right it is 40 coins for 4 OAK. Bad math on my part.

Yeah, I saw that and chuckled, too...It was in KC briefly about 3
years ago. There's actually a pretty funny story about that, but I'm
not at liberty to discuss it here (not my story to tell). Let's just
say, file under Stupid Player Tricks. I mean, Really Hardcore, Burning
Midday Sun On Mercury Stupid Player Tricks.

Hey!! No need to mention my secret playing style.

Jeep

There are still some full pay AA in Kansas City area. Isle of Capri
has them in 25 cent and Prairie Band (no longer Harrah's managed)
north of Topeka have AA in both 25 cent and $1.

We were discussing the SUPER-Full-Pay AA paying 250 coins for a
4-OAK(5 coin max). As far as I know, they ARE gone.

Personally, I enjoy the Prairie Band Casino and Resort especially
since I just won a $9977 Super-Strike Jackpot on Saturday morning
playing the full-pay AA. I had just got up from a nap in my 2 room
comped suite, ate a comped breakfast, and was playing AA for 45
minutes on their money. I got a high pair of jacks, and the machine
locks up. I look up at the display and it reads Super-Strike winner -
$9977. I start to scream and shout. $10,000 for a quarter video
poker player is a lot of money. I almost have a bankroll for the $
AA, but still don't have the psychological bankroll for the swings.

dipy911

I ended up down $600 for my gambling without counting the big jackpot.
$ AA ate me up and spit me out, down $1000 in an hour, with no 4-OAK
or higher and practically no 40-coin payouts either. I went back to
quarters!
