Thanks for telling us this game is out, I like it and look forward to
playing it. I have read the BD article, and still have a question
whose answer I'm not sure of but anyone who has played the machine
would perhaps know. BD says that it is sort of a "four line version
of triple play" and if it is played with maximum number of coins,
then it is played with eight coins, five on the bottom line and one
coin on each of the upper three lines. My question is, how does this
game go with short coin? If it was exactly as triple play, then when
you play, say, two coins, that would be a coin on the first line and
a coin on the second line. When it is played with four coins, it
would be a coin on each of the four lines. This is the way the usual
IGT Triple Play machine assigns the coins. Is this actually how Max
Out works? This would be my guess, but since I have not seen the
machine, I don't know for sure. The other possibility, of course, is
for the machine to accept coins until the first line is filled with
five coins, and only then assign a bet to the upper lines. Thanks in
advance for clearing up this uncertainty.

I played Max Out Poker for a few minutes. Basically it
takes eight coins per play. For that you get one hand for
five coins plus three more hands for one coin each. Hands
are dealt similarly to triple-play. The cards you hold on
the bottom hand are also held on the other three hands.
The unusual feature with Max Out Poker is that the bottom
hand has a conventional paytable but the three Max Out
hands have a much more generous but top heavy paytable.
This game is hard to describe. Better to read the article
or actually play the game to understand how it works.
