Max ER vs. the Min-Risk

Steve,

I like your examples of goals for the min-risk strategy. One, a
positive outcome, the goal is to double the given bankroll.

The other, "the walk of shame" where min-risk is trying to avoid an
event. Personally, I still can remember my first and only walk to
the ATM (LVC) a couple years ago. It is a real life goal not to do
this again.

Wouldn't a min-risk strategy be helpful when you want the goal to
run "X coin-in" thru a machine? Alot of casinos the goal, X-coin-in
triggers events, like comped rooms, bouncebacks and other perks. X-
coin-in also might get you an entry into a tourney (Plaza) or get you
into a drawing (River Palms). The value of this goal outweighs the
diminished ER.

BS

Max-ER should be best when trying to reach a fixed amount of coin-in.
ER is in units of dollars per game played, so goals that are specified in
terms of the number of games played will probably call for max-ER
strategy. Coin-in is pretty much the same as number of games played.
