I'm on the Kitsap peninsula for a couple weeks, and recently visited
two Indian casinos nearby. They are the Clearwater Casino near
Suquamish Washington and The Point Casino near Kingston Washington.
These are both fine facilities with good food and atmosphere. But
the VP is slim pickings in both. The only game is called Match Card
Bonus, in quarters and nickels. But it isn't your typical VP, so
thought I'd describe it.
Match Card Bonus is a Sierra Design Group game (part of Bally Gaming
I think).
The payschedule (playing max coins) is 1000/50/25/8/5/4/3/2/1. In
addition, there is a "bonus" if the 5th card on the redeal matches
another card that is selected (presumably) randomly.
The interesting thing is the choices of coins played. You have 5
choices: 1 coin, 2 coins, 3 coins, 5 coins, and 20 coins. At 1,
2,and 3 coins the RF is 250 to 1, at 5 coins the RF is 800 to 1, at
20 coins it is 1000 to 1.
This is basically an 8/5 JorB game, except paying 1000 to 1 for the
RF, plus a "bonus" possibility (52 to 1 chance I believe).
But, no matter how you slice it, I think the return is well below
100%. Unfortunately, I left my PC at home so I can't compute it.
The Point Casino has the nickel game, and the Clearwater Casino has
the quarter game. I played at both casinos and could see no
difference compared to VP in LV. A player next to me got a RF for
$5000. Incidentally, both casinos offer comps, which is a recent
improvement.
