Oh, one of the reasons I still love Las Vegas! Don't see anything like that in Tunica, Biloxi, St. Louis, Chicago, erc. etc.

Subject: [vpFREE] Masquerade in the Sky (Rio) - salacious?
Well if you haven't seen the revamped Masquerade in the Sky, be prepared for
an eyeful. If I had kids under 12 I would be covering their eyes. It was
very suggestive. Dirty Dancing with less clothes. Like a sexy MTV video,
with lots of bumping and grinding. Up above you come the floats, now with
people wearing less also bumping and grinding to current "music". (rap or
whatever - not much melody, just a lot of beat).
I found it surprising that they'd gone this far 'adult'. If they were
topless, you'd be viewing one of those X-rated shows. It even ends with a giant
bed and orgy!
My husband said show is prurient. Provocative and salacious perhaps. I
have seen topless and X-rated shows like Crazy Girls and Ectasy, so I wasn't
outraged in any way. But it did seem a bit over the top sexually for a display
in public in the center of the Rio with lots of kids watching. Again,
nothing worse than on an MTV video, but somehow live it seemed more salacious than
watching a TV video.
By the way, when those Rio Bevertainers first showed up, I didn't think
their costumes could get any skimpier. But they have! Now they are essentially
wearing black bikinis with lace with a lot of holes over it. You see skin,
tits and asses hanging out, etc.
For both the Bevertainers and looking up at the Masquerade in the Sky
floats, you get quite a look up the crotches (though covered of course with those
tiny bikinis).
I don't consider myself a prude, but still, this seems a bit too suggestive
for children's consumption. Certainly a good way to distract gamblers I
suppose!
Meanwhile, still no FP VP at the Rio. Players might try the 98% $1 reel
slot carousels or look for progressives if you have to play there. Carnival
buffet is still excellent at about $23 per person for evening. It seemed like
they'd cut out the warm crab legs, but still had lots of cold and excellent
variety. Look for a coupon for a free steak (or ask if you are 7* or Diamond
when you buy buffet and they may give you a freebie). I was too full to get
the steak though.
