I guess my message about changes to the "adult" Masquerade in Sky show were
both a warning to people with kids or a low tolerance for dirty dancing, as
well as a notice to people who like this sort of show for free to be sure to
go.
Interestingly, I think they are still giving certain patrons the right to
ride for free or for a small charge, especially if you are Diamond or 7*. I
don't know what sort of costume you now get to wear. (you might be asked to
remove clothes! ??)
True, kids don't belong in casinos, but many people bring them to the Rio to
enjoy the good buffet and other restaurants (true for many other casinos as
well, mind you). Some casinos have movie theaters to encourage the whole
family to come. And some folks do stay at the hotels in casinos and bring their
kids (sometimes Mom and the kids go off to kid-friendly attractions while
Dad stays and plays).
The basic thing is that casinos are open to the public, all the public, and
that means they can expect kids to show up too. Parents usually can steer
clear of scantily attired beverages servers on the main casino floor, but if
the walkways from your room to a restaurant run through the casino, there isn't
much that can be done. When a free show opens, the casino could certainly
expect some kids to attend.
The new "adult" TI siren show is way way tamer than the new show at the Rio
by the way.
