Some banks of JOB in dollars and up have been adjusted to 9/5 or
8/5. I
specifically noticed the change on the two banks of machines on
either side
of the center crossing near Blush. The machines with only JOB are
8/5 and
the MGs on the other side of the aisle are 9/5. I only checked the
dollar
denom. Quite a few machines remain with 9/6 JOB, so no need to
panic. I did not check your favorite Spin Poker machines, Jean.
Played at Wynn this weekend and many Spins were still safe. In fact
the Spin Deluxe I played by Zoo Zah had 9/6 Jacks, 9/7 DB, 9/6 DDB
and "Airport" 25-15-9-4-4 Deuces. The NSUD reported a few months back
is long gone at Wynn unless I missed it. Also, Bonus Deluxe is one of
the weakest games there and pays no better than 8-5 even in High
Limit. So if that's your game, then on the Strip opt for the 9/6 at
Excalibur.
Regarding the Wynn 9-6 Jacks issue an executive host confided in me
that the Wynn is well aware that they are one of the few Strip
casinos that offer it below $5 denomination. They keep a close eye on
Palazzo and feel offering the game gives them a competitive edge.
But, due to obvious economic pressures, Wynn is "feeling the heat" to
not make 9/6 Jacks as available widespread throughout the casino. So,
you are seeing some but not all 9-6 Jacks paytables downgraded.
Hopefully Wynn will not constantly "move" their limited 9/6 Jacks to
confuse us. The "safety zone" for the time being still appears to be
machines in the vicinity of Red 8 and the Spin Deluxe near Zoo Zah
previously mentioned.
