Mardi Gras Madness at CB/EW Promo

I picked-up the official rules last Tuesday. This certainly is the weakest
promo Marnell-Sher has run. I guess they all can't good ones.

The only advantage is there are absolutely no hoops to jump through to enter,
need not be present to win and only need to collect within 24 hours.

A low roller like me needs some barriers to enter a promo to thin out the
crowd. Collecting tickets and filling them out certainly helps. Being present
to win is another.

Everyone who plays gets one electronic drawing ticket. Then for every 50
points you get another. What do you think maybe 100,000-500,000 tickets
generated per day at $33.33 or $66.67 machine coin-in per ticket? Table games count
too.

At 100,000 tickets and a $1,000 prize the equity is a penny per ticket.

I agree- having just been there over 2/16-17 Masquerade Slot tourney
weekend (which was just a free slot tourney, open to the public, btw).
Still- not too badly run tourney.

The daily dwgs (only 6 winners, of which 1 winner gets $1000;
the other 5 win a 'plush gator'). At EW- other 5 get $50 in freeplay.
Daily equity slim, as 50 pts gets every Access club member a
'electronic entry'.

I did better on their BP games. Cards of the day 8s/10s got me a free
BobbleGatorhead (actually, a pretty decent dust collector).

TITO warning- I don't know if ALL their TITOs are set this way,
but when I did manage to get a Royal on the poorly placed slants by
Poker room (always crowded walkway with Poker players hanging out
nearby, and during busy rush to MicroBrew restaurant, can get bumped
by various people as you play...).
TITO for the 4000 credits just SPITS OUT - so be careful, and make
sure you know WHERE the ticket comes out.

I was looking for the credits to register on my credit meter (lower
right), when the TITO spit-out caught me off guard.

A NEWBIE could easily be wondering what's going on, while wome wily
unscrupulous passer by might happen to see the TITO and grab it...

So BE CAREFUL!

Martin.
