I had to laugh at these comments. I can't believe you drove out over
that dry lakebed to Nipton in a rental car. I wouldn't have the guts
to do that. I have tried the other back roads but the Nelson one.
Where is Nelson? Oh, and how is the VP in Nelson?

Nipton...is that the ralroad town on the road from I-15 to Searchlight? I
felt isolated even being on the paved road when I went Downtown Vegas to
Laughlin once this way. I have not tried Christmas Pass.

So what is the best play in Jean/Primm anyway? I did not explore the casinos.

Yes, that is the place. Nipton at one time a few years ago hit the
newspapers as the largest seller of California lottery tickets sold.
Why would that be? It was the closest California seller from Las
Vegas. I thought people in Las Vegas had plenty of opportunities to
gamble, but thanks for bringing some money back to California. There
is now a little store at Primm that is just inside the California
state line that is closer to Las Vegas.

The last time I passed through Nipton, there was a small bed and
breakfast place there. Who would want to go to that place? They have
got to be closed by now for lack of business.
