March RP offers

Any idea about the amount of play that generated this?

Wifes: $65 x 2, 10 entries, 3 nights each half of month, line pass.
Mine: $40 x 2, 10 entries, 3 nights, line pass.
Something about mini tournaments but of no interest to us (not local).

Our RP offers have increased to the point they are now competetive
with LV and Reno. It will be nice to plan a Laughlin trip again.

Well Bill it looks like a 1.5% bounce if you can cash each and every
coupon, starting at $5 and going to at least 2x$125. It is
definitely an average over several months. My bounces peaked in
September (3x $50) with my strongest play in April, May and June each
with $10k coin-in/month. I have cut back since to about $5k and my
March bounces were 3x $25.

It appears Arizonans now have three redemption periods per month,
Bostonians two and locals two per week. Don't know if people living
in Henderson are local, regional or undesirable.

Several folks were in town for the Ford/Bingo giveaway last Sunday
Jan 30th. Congrats to Joan, Tom and Jimmy the Bartender's sixth
grade teacher (all originally from Milwaukee) for making it to the
Bingo Room. One hundred people qualified over the weekend to play a
coverall for the vehicle.

They are doing this promo again for a March 29-31 Bingo qualifying.
Remember to turn in your room/restaurant chit for extra entries.

RP is doing a $30k slot tourney on April 1st too. Two months of
qualifying in a daily one, take ten best scores, top 50 make it. I
hit RWB sevens for a great score of 1,452. Just need nine more good
ones. I put the over/under to qualify at 9,900 points.

Another internet bud (nickelbet on Vegaswatch) partaked in the
festivities and clued me in on another RP advantage play for
Blackjack players. A suited BJ with an King/Queen (21x4x2=>170
hands) gets you a free night coupon good for a month. One per day. I
also accrued about $1.50 hr in banked comps playing $5, six deck,
DOA, DAS games. Nickelbet and I both won two coupons. This is not
the best BJ game on the river (that would be GN or Pioneer) at
about .7% vig, but if you need a room and a buffet, it is a fine low-
roller play.

My biggest peeve is that the RP just does not answer the phone. You
are always put on hold to book a room.

The new high limit room is open (nothing playable) and the non-
smoking room is next. Hopefully, a couple of slant-top Deuces will
re-appear here that vanished from the top of the escalators.

BS

Last there in July 2004. Seven visits over the previous year.
Each 3 day/2 night stay wife plays about $60K and myself $40K.
Mostly on 25 cents MS.
The RP offers had been much lower or none at all. We have been
getting Vegas casino offers of $1K shopping Sprees and Tourney's with
EV better than $400. Sweet.
It will be nice to drive down to Laughlin. We take back roads through
Nelson or Nipton or Xmas Tree pass. Once drove across the dry lake at
Primm in the direction of Nipton and made it. Once we get to RP, its
pretty much intense gambling before the drive back.

I had to laugh at these comments. I can't believe you drove out over
that dry lakebed to Nipton in a rental car. I wouldn't have the guts
to do that. I have tried the other back roads but the Nelson one.
Where is Nelson? Oh, and how is the VP in Nelson?

Nelson has nothing for gamblers unless you include deserted outback
roads. Look on mapquest. Taking the 95 route from LV to Laughlin, its
10 miles east on Route 165 which is 10 miles South on 95 from the
Railroad Pass casino. Nelson is pretty much a ghost town with a
a dozen hardy families and summer second homes.
Check out the abandoned mine operations a little past Nelson. At the
East end of the actual town turn from 165 onto "Main Street or
Eldorado" and go about 30 miles on well maintained dirt roads back
onto 95 a few miles north of searchlight.
Pretty nice Sonora desert scenery maybe the area gets a little more
rainfall than normal. Bighorn sheep and other creatures of the desert
as well.
