March Mailer from GT

I can't figure out why they are so determined to annoy their regular VP
players.
Point multipliers almost always exclude VP, and percentage discounts for
meals (or whatever) cannot be used with comps. It's one of the reasons we
simply stopped playing anywhere in Detroit - the other 2 joints have crappy
VP and Gtown insists on passing out second-class treatment. Too bad, too.

From what I can see of the other vp players,I don't think that GT has
much to worry about giving the players much of anything based on
their play. We, the vpFree players, probably will get close to the
game's percentage, but we lose a lot too.

I'm guessing that a very small percentage of vp players play the
games close to perfect. But, if slot machines are paying at 85 to
90%, even a bad vp player will play higher than that. Business is
business, so they are not going to give away the farm, especially now
that they have to pay for their new hotel and garage.

So do you play any place in Michigan, or only Vegas? I could only get
to Vegas once a year if I was so lucky.

Nick,

Thanks for asking. Deke Castleman the senior editor at Huntington
Press still has it and likes it, but no decision as yet. Maybe they
are doing some market research? I don't know.. No big deal. I didn't
write it for the money, I wrote it because it was fun to do. Anything
else is just frosting on the cake.

I just finished putting in over 300 Texas hold'em poker tips that
have served me well over the years. I don't know if the pros will
agree on them or not, but they made money and worked for me. I ended
up (if I'm actually finished?) with over 270,000 words and 561 pages.
