So, you are heading to Laughlin for the big game? It looks like they
have a pretty good deal going on at the Boiler Room at the CB. They
are giving away $1750 in cash to three winners, and lots of other
drawings during the game. The trick is to snag at seat at the bar.

There are also having some kind of promotion at the Ramada
called "Get Lucky". It is a $20 buy in, and they claim you are
guaranteed to get a prize back worth at least $20, and you can win up
to $500.

Are they having a card of the day this month at the Riverside?

Riverside COD- don't know, they have done one for several months now. An
ongoing COD sure helps the bottom line.

That RE promo sounds alot like what Four Queens used to do. It is right up
there with the magic glasses and the Tic-Tac-Toe playing chicken.

I really wish RE would have some decent promo.

The Boiler Room was giving away food and beer and the right to sit at those
three circular tables on the floor in a drawing. Didn't know anything about
cash. Are you sure this isn't downstairs in the Mardi Gras banquet room for you
high rollers who got an invite?

Yes, I am booked at Harrahs-L for Sunday/Monday, but for a $20 "Cash for Gas"
offer, not for the "Big Game". I am sure I will take it in somewhere...first
guess would be the Bermuda Club at RP. Maybe Harrahs is doing something in
the showroom, but that would run late?

I did get an invite to the CB big game party, but the Boiler Room and
drawings are for even the common folk, and the cheapskates. Here is
from the Laughlin Leisure Guide:

"On Sunday, Feb. 5, after the big game, a Colorado Belle Football
Fanatic will win $1,000 in cash plus official team apparel and a mini
stadium displaying mini-mugs from all 32 NFL teams. Second prize will
be $500 in cash and dinner for two in the Boiler Room Microbrewery.
Third prize will be $250 and dinner for two in the Boiler Room.

To be eligible to win in the Football Fanatic promotion, One Club
members at the Colorado Belle will receive one free drawing ticket
per account. In addition, they will receive one drawing ticket for
every 50 points they earn on their One Club card between midnight on
Jan. 23 and 3 p.m. on Feb. 5.

Plus, you can pick the winner of the big game. Each of two drawing
drums will have the name of one of the two teams competing in the
Super Bowl. Winners' names will be pulled from the drum with the name
of the team that won the Super Bowl. The drawings for prizes will be
held at 8 p.m. on Feb. 5, or 15 minutes after the end of the game if
it runs late. Winners must be present at the drawing with valid photo
IDs."

I was checking the weather in Laughlin, and it looks great. Me? I
will be in the Lake Tahoe/Carson City area this weekend. It is
suppose to be cold with rain and snow on Saturday.

I forgot to add the rest of the information about the Boiler Room Big
Game party:

"There will be a party on Feb. 5 in the Boiler Room during the "Big
Game Day XL" promotion. The Super Bowl will be shown on 23 television
monitors and there will food and beverage specials. Four MGD or
Miller Lites in a bucket will be featured for $6.95 from 9 a.m. until
the end of the football game. The "Football & Franks" special, a hot
dog plus a 16-oz. microbrew, will be $3.99 and offered from 11 a.m.
through the end of the game.

Beginning at noon, drawing tickets will be given with each appetizer
purchased in the Boiler Room, and throughout the game, drawings will
be held for great prizes, including a 21-speed Raleigh mountain
bike."
