Do you watch the Malcom sit-com at all? Read on.
Rerun episode last night - The dad, Hal, has a weird dream where he
walks into a casino, sees pink balloons, hears a tune, walks up to
an oversize Slot machine, pulls the handle and gets the 3 JACKPOT
icons on his first pull. Big Winner. When he wakes up, he's excited -
the dream sticks with him.
When son Dewey has a chance to go to 4H-type animal fair in Las
Vegas, Hal takes the family along and proceeds to go to casino after
casino (he's got the full check-list) in search of his dream SLOT
machine. Hal even cashes in his lone asset - an insuranbce policy -
to fund the trip. The rest of the family has funny LV adventures -
Lois sees a show by a heart-throb aged performer she worships, one
son chats with a bar-fly/hooker woman, etc. But Hal never finds his
slot machine, so they're driving home. Little casino near the gas
station on the way out of town: you know what's coming: he walks
in, there's a guy with a pink balloon, another guy's cell-phone
plays the tune from his dream and right there is the same oversize
SLOT Machine from the dream. A host asks if he wants a free pull, he
says of course, pulls the handle and click click click Three Jackpot
symbols. Hal is ecstatic, the Host says congratulations sir, and
hands him a coupon for a cheap room. Everybody wins on this machine.
At first I was going to type XVP on the subject line, but NO! So, to
keep it relevant - anybody ever have LUCID dreams about hitting
jackpots and then actually ACT on the dream? Wanna share the story?
If you wanna talk about dreams of Comped penthouse suites or buffet
coupons, well, um, I think they have counseling for that.
