3 weeks ago - when the official mailings change came about - my SuperStar
honey (according to both Majestic AND me :-)) - stopped using his card & e-mailed
that organization about his disappointment in the recent changes - getting
no reply of course. He deliberately went on a mission to use his card only to
cash his current coupons and then give them no play. We switched to using my
card instead. We had a long history of going out there from Illinois every
single weekend and he usually did a midweek trip as well. We always stayed in their
hotel and put through at least @ 10k in vp play with a healthy dose of slots
added to the mix each visit. Since we are only recreational players who do not
analyze each game %, go on multiplier days only, never asked for comps of any
kind, played slots as well, you'd have thought we'd be the ideal "suckers"
the casino would want coming back week after week. Without the room offer, we've
been going to Resorts every weekend instead for the majority of our day &
sleeping elsewhere.
Yesterday in the mail he received the following: (remember - his card has
been dormant for only 3 weeks running) I think they might finally be getting the
message from folks like him.
2 cash coupons good for 1 week each and are 35 bucks (up from $15). Each one
excludes one date for which they sent a seperate bonus coupon for 40 bucks.
Each week also includes 2 free buffets and a free room any day of the week. The
first 40 dollar bonus coupon is called "Come back cash"
My mailings haven't changed at all yet. They seem to be in a big hurry to get
players who fall off the map like him to come on back. It's interesting to
note how fast marketing can respond when they really want to. Anybody else have
a similar experience?
LK
P.S. STILL no open room offers from Resorts tho. Wish THEY could respond a
little faster!
