Majestic Star

Last night the second floor VP room on MS II was closed. I asked my host if
she knew what they were going to do with the third floor after they move the
poker room to the second floor VP room. She said she didn't know what the
NEW owner was doing.

I was there earlier yesterday. I was told that they hoped to have the games
back on Thursday but I suspect that was optimistic. I will be back Saturday
morning to have a look.

Thank You for the update. I am worried about what remaining inventory they
had. I am not holding my breath hoping for playable games at The Rivers
Casino opening in one month four miles from my condo in Des Plaines IL.

my hope is that Rivers will pull players away from Majestic, Horseshoe, & Grand Victoria and make them change their pay tables to bring people back. Not holding out MUCH hope, just some.

Just went by Majestic for an afternoon trip. They did move all of the video poker games out of the one section near the elevator and moved them into the surrounding table game area. They already had some of the games up for play, but appeared they were still testing the remaining games. Personally, I like this move because it's out of the natural light and a lot closer to the bathrooms and bar. As far as I can tell none of the games appeared to be changed. The only change I noticed was that they moved the old DDB 25-cent progressive bank to 8 slant type games.

Thank You! I might be able to get down there tomorrow afternoon but more
likely will be Saturday morning. After I confirm, I will update the
database. Directionality shown on the database will be based on the entrance
to that room being the front. The bathrooms will be considered the rear. I
hope the testing is not actually downgrading!

We now know that the top floor of the Majestic Star 2 is being completely
closed and they are laying off about fifty employees.
