Majestic Star on New Year's Eve

The 25c JOB at the Don and Mike bar (at the bar itself not the back wall) is not only 9-6 but also a (0.5% feed rate) progressive which is positive much of the time. The most obvious strategy change is that a 3RF is better than a high pair at all but the lowest progressives. A hand like A(K or Q or J)T4 suited with a fifth card being a T, J or Q is played as a 3RF too. (This is the only 3RF that would be played as a 4FL without the progressive.)

There are several 99.9%+ plays (not including cashback) available but you might not be familar with the strategies. All of those games have much higher variance.

If you want more specifics on games available, go to the database. If you have any further questions, I can answer them as I maintain the database for the Majestic Star for vpFree.

Subject: [vpFREE_Chicago] Majestic Star on New Year's Eve

My wife, mother, mother-in-law and I will be staying at Majestic overnight on NYE. (I know lucky me to be with my 3 FAVORITE woman all at once). My wife has decided that since we were not going out of town on a flight, that we can EACH have $500 in gambling money. I have WinPoker and feel pretty confident in my JoB and Duece's strategy. I am not looking to break the bank, but what machines would you suggest I play. I have played the penny 100 line (hit 2 royals for $40 each. WOO HOO) I have also played the bartops in Don and Mike's sports bar, (where I watched the people on either side of me hit $1,000 Royals in a matter of 5 minutes BOO HOO).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Additionally, is anyone else going that night, and how crowded do you think it will be??

Thanks

Jimmy D
