Majestic Star down grades

I was at the Majestic Star yesterday. The remaining good 100-play and
Multi-Strike machines were turned off. I spoke to the slot manager about the
downgrades. She said that they were going to reduce the pay scale on EVERY
machine that was over 99.5%. She said that there are still many good plays
because many of the machines were close to 100% and we are only cutting the
pay schedules by .5%. I told here that I was not familiar with pay scales
under 99.5% but I was quite sure that the machines that I wanted to play
were reduced by about 1%. She assured me that I was wrong. I could not check
the Multi-Strike machines that were changed three weeks ago. They were busy.
I checked the STP and 100-play.

I checked the pay scales when I got home.
JB was 99.54% now 98.45% - 1.09%
NSUD was 99.73% now 98.91% - .82%
DDB was 98.98% now 97.97% - 1.11%

Thank You (???)

I will be there tomorrow to take a look. As I am sure you are aware it is
tough to cut back any non-wild game by only 1/2% as cuts to FH, FL and ST
all take over 1% away from EV. Can be done by tinkering with quads, SF or RF
but IGT does not offer that many options.

The Multi-Strikes that were changed three weeks ago were removed from the
database almost three weeks ago because the good games on them had been
removed. (I also removed the STP at that time. They had trashed the MS2 STP
a week earlier than that.)

This saddens me because I often played (and carried strategy charts) for
Multi-Strike 25-12 DBDW. I have a friend who is (was) probably their largest
coin in VP player (usually on the 25c 100 plays) who will be going up the
road to Ameristar or Horseshoe now.

I will complete the database changes after I take a look tomorrow and
indicate "pending" now.

Well....

As a player who lives 3 hours away and takes 1 or 2 visit a month with a group

of 4 to 6 this means no more trips. We did not get much cash coupons.

I am the only one that plays VP. The rest play slots and do not really care what casino they are in as long they get free meals and rooms.

Our casino trips will be to either St Louis or Jumers Rock Island.
