Majestic Star 1

Thank You Jay:

When the MS1 downgraded the 50c/$ games in the middle of the main room, they
also changed some 25c games on that progressive bank.

The best game in that progressive is 9-7DB (SF and quad 5-K shorted to 239.)
98.73% at reset.

Next best is 9-6DDB (SF and quad 5-K shorted to 239) 98.60% at reset.

Due to strategy changes the difference fluctuates at lower progressive
levels but DDB steadily closes the gap at higher progressives and passes DB

at about $2,776 on the RF meter (I have seen a $2,100 meter on these but no
higher.)

A bit off topic, but seeing as the MJ has basically said they don't want my money on VP, do they still at least have the $5 blackjack table till 7PM m-f?

I think they still do. Be aware that BJ rules have gotten worse as well as
all low-limit tables hit soft 17 and no six deck games. Either eight decks
(H17, DAS, no resplit of aces, double on any two cards, no surrender-house
edge against basic strategy = 0.68%-estimated penetration about 6-6-1/2
decks) or 2 decks (H17, double on 10 or 11 only, no resplits, cannot split
aces, cannot double after a split, no surrender-house edge against basic
strategy = 0.84%-estimated penetration about 60 cards.). At least BJ still
pays 3-2 (Grand Victoria in Elgin IL has 6-5 BJ on low limit games - YUCK!!)
Further off topic- Pair Plus on Three Card Poker now is 3-1 (instead of 4-1)
on flushes. If you play the three card poker option at BJ (not recommended!)
the house edge is 2.49% for eight decks but 7.26% at two decks. Not nearly
as bad as the Lucky Ladies side bet they offer which carries a 24.06% house
edge. No longer has Caribbean Draw which played properly was an almost
break-even game.

At least they don't have that idiotic $20 / hr "reservation" fee on the $5 game, like they do at the HOllywood and (I think) the Empress.
