Majestic Star 1 change and other related issues.

On the Majestic Star 1, the $1 progressive has been changed to be identical to the Majestic Star 2 version. (Eight additional game choices.)

I have updated the database for this.

I still do not know the current “promo” cash back rate. I was told to contact marketing tomorrow. (The boothlings are a joke!!)

One thing the boothlings told me is that if you use a “play x points get $x promo cash offer” is that your play to generate and cash the offer do not count toward your “promo” cash account.

If I find out anything from Majestic Star marketing, I will let the group know.

Hey guys,

I’m a huge fan of the horseshoe Hammond and I play video poker there about once a week.

However, I see very few emails about the HS and tons of emails about the Majestic. Is there something I’m missing? Does the majestic have better games/comps? Thanks

Comps at the Majestic Star seem to be just awful!!

In the eight weeks since the new system began, nobody has been able to explain the system or how much play is needed to earn “promo cash” (The industry usually calls this free play.) When the new system began (11/3/14), they wiped out everybody’s “promo cash” account. (Legal in IN because the IN gaming board is
basically a mouthpiece for the casinos! Not legal in IL or MI. Motor City Casino in Detroit lost a case related to this a few years ago and got huge negative publicity.)

Clearly “promo cash” rate is much much worse!! I tried most of the morning today to contact them but the number I was told to call is busy. (I suspect that is not an accident!) I need that info to have an accurate database. (I cut the rate I showed in the database by half but that is probably still too high. It is easily the worst rate in the area!!)

As for the games, 25c/50c/$1 level, the Majestic Star has many 99%+ games the highest being 99.92% Joker 2 Pair (3 machines 25c/50c/$1, 3 machines at $1.) The same machines have 16-10 NSUD. Another dozen machines have 25c/50c/$1 9-5 TB+ (99.8%), 25c 16-10 NSUD and many other 99%+ games. These machines are $35/point versus $10/point for all other video poker. Points now appear to be used to determine player’s card level only. Used to be that points determined “promo cash” which was equal to 0.1% for the top two cards and 0.05% for bottom card based on $10 per point for video poker. Slots used to accrue at twice that rate.

The highest percentage non-progressive in the Chicago Area that I know of are the two 25c/50c/$1/$2 Spin Poker Deluxe at Hollywood Joliet. They have 8-5-60 Super Aces 99.94%.

The Hollywood machines you mentioned also have 99.96 DDB (10/6/40SF), NSUD, and full pay SDB, SDDB,

BDLX, etc. See VPFree2.

I was just trying to be quick. Thank You. I am the Majestic Star and Rivers monitor so I am familiar with vpfree2.
