My brother-in-law and his wife play VP at the Majestic; so do my wife and I. I estimate that they run through almost twice as much $$$ as we do. Yet we get about twice as much bounce back as they do. This causes me to suspect that a couple of their really big ($3K and $8K) wins a few months back are still being held against them. Anybody else have a similar experience?
Majestic Puzzle
My mom is a very small potato (25c sometimes if we can get them the 25c 3
play STP). Last April she won $1,000 in a drawing and had a W2G $1,222 RF in
June. No cashback the rest of the year after getting a small $5 or $10 per
week the first part of the year. This year she has gotten the 8 x$10 offer
in January and 12 x $10 for February and March. We split an STP machine
today and her card will show a $1,000 RF ($900 net win) so we shall see if
she gets screwed in April. Between the two of us, that got us to barely
above even (plus less than $100) for the year including promo, cashback and
scratchers.

Have you taken into consideration the expected return on the VP games played might have an effect on the cash back? Does some playing a VP game with a .25% house edge get less cash back than someone playing a VP game with a 1% house edge?

We play the same games all year. Her RF last year came on a game that is
normally a solid moneymaker for them but due to the three progressives was a
break-even game. My guess is that when the "re-opening" promos are over, you
will see the poor mailers again.

I was at the Horseshoe this weekend and the royal was paying $4,400 instead of the normal $4,000 that full pay machines pay.
Can someone tell me the expected return from this machine? I'm not sure if the other payoffs are less or if this machine truly pays more than 99.54%.
Thanks
