I had a very bad experience at MSS a couple fo years ago, although it didn't
cause them to get Security involved. Had to do with botched room reservations
for the group I brought in, then the stunningly ugly and unsanitary rooms
that we were finally granted. They also refused to comp a dime off any of our
room charges despite play levels that would have gotten attention at many of the
Strip "megaresorts". Upon returning home, I made a couple of calls & wrote a
very polite letter, all of which were totally ignored. Haven't set foot in
that dump since, and it's the primary reason that I ceased participating in the
LVA message boards. Too much Rah-Rah-MainStreet, and anybody that dared to
disagree was subject to ridicule.
MSS may be a fine place for some, but there's an ugly secret there. When
things are going well, apparently it is a very nice place to stay (for a downtown
joint). But if customer satisfaction problems pop up, they don't want to
handle the situation - they just want you and the problem to go away immediately.
