Main Street FPDW - What Went Wrong

I just read a message on the LVA message board that
explains why so many of us could not find the three
new slant-top FPDW at MSS. The slot techs originally
put in the 99.9% Triple Deuces instead of the standard
100.7% FPDW! They weren't fixed until just last
Thursday 4/24. So between the time they were first
mentioned here on vpFREE 4/10 until 4/24, there really
weren't any slant-top FPDW at MSS. Good to know I'm
not crazy or blind.

I was also there last week and looked at every
denomination in every slant-top machine in the whole
south end of the casino and found no FPDW. I was
there again yesterday and noticed two slant-tops in
that area with signs above them saying "Full-Pay
Deuces Wild". Unfortunately the paytable was still
no good. I told a floor person that the paytable was
not the same as the good full-pay deuces in the six
machines against the wall. She promised to ask her
boss about it. We'll see. To be continued.....

One thing to be aware of with those new FPDW is that they are on NICKEL
machines.
Anything over $50 in cashout will cause a handpay.
This can be REAL ANNOYING especially if you do like I do and put $100 in for
the long haul.
If you get lucky and either go up or lose very little expect lots of
handpays at those machines.

Other than that, they're GREAT !!!

The other thing to watch out for is that the countdown starts at 250 nickels,
so it takes $12.50 to get a point instead of the normal $10.00. I talked to
several people up the chain, including the slot shift supervisor, who talked to
Larry Steele (I forget his title) and they wouldn't budge about adjusting my
points. They kept insisting I was playing a nickel machine and I kept
insisting I was playing quarters. Supposedly the coin in is tracked properly,
so it won't affect the mailings negatively. The uprights are so uncomfortable,
that it is probably worth giving up .02% in cash back for the comfort of the
slant tops. With the scratch cards it's still a good play, but waiting for the
change people to bring them does cut into your hourly rate. Oh, and bring a
winter coat if you plan on playing the slant-tops. The air condition vent is
right above the machines.
