I use Ipo as my host at Main Street Station as I find their comping system wonderful. I have never tried to email any of the hosts there and I'll admit that few of them do not have much of a sense of humor, but as long as they continue to treat me as well as they do, I can put up with the lack of email response and bubbling personality from the club desk.
Something that I really like about Cal/Fremont/MSS is that their contests are not based on number of entries. The high roller has just as much a chance of winning a prize as does the mid level player. Also, I find the Pacific Islanders who play and work there much more friendly than the average Vegas Tourist. Plus, the discretionary comp is alive and well there. I can frequently get a second room for a guest or a food comp at the Redwood just for asking and it doesn't come off my point balance. Is it the smartest play from an EV standpoint? Absolutely not. But from a recreational/tourist play, it's awesome. Especially the fact that they have 9/6 JOB at the bar from quarters to dollars and they serve microbrews. Now if they could only raise the shower heads in the rooms a bit.

Same here with the lousy booking experience, hosts at MSS are rude and never
answer emails. Fed up, I just booked a room at the nearby 4 queens for labor
day weekend. While I like MSS more than the 4 Q's, the Q's offer is so much
better anyway. RFB, $150 food ah Hugos, $100 free play, etc - and they
really want and appreciate my business. Sorry Boyd - you lose !
