mail offer

Anyone know how Harrah's properties base their mail offers? Is it
based on base points per trip or points per day or total base points?
It seems like my friend who plays alot on one trip gets better offers
although I have a lot higher tier score (base points).

Thanks.

I believe that Harrah's bases their offers strictly on ADT (average daily
theoretical). So, it all depends on what you are playing. If you play
slots, your ADT will be higher than someone who plays the same amount of
tier points on video poker since the house edge is so much higher on slots.

Are you and your friend playing the same games? If so, there is speculation
that fewer heavy play trips create a higher ADT, therefore better offers.
So, a 2x a year visitor might get better offers than a local player who
comes in once a week and puts more through in a year.

Could anyone at Harrahs answer and explain the following scenario?

One goes to the casino frequently and maybe for only a few hours at a
time but that one is consistent and will spend more money overall
then the individual who may go only a few times a year.

The individual who only goes a few times a year is treated royalty
and the ADT of the frequent visitor is lower and thus not considered
a good Harrahs player. Something is wrong with this picture!

Players, as myself, who enjoy going often are punished for being
loyal. I was even told by one of the Harrahs host that I shouldn't
go too often - just save it and spend it all at one time!

Well, I've decided that Horseshoe Indiana is not that much closer
than the other area casinos where I have been spending my time and my
money. In the casino business, as in any business, it is important
to make your "guests" feel important and Harrahs is doing a lousy job
of that.

How does Harrahs compare to the other casinos? Am looking for
another "I care for you Casino" in Las Vegas. Any Suggestions?

Joan

I am going to Vegas over New Years Eve - staying at the Hilton Grand
Vacation Club Flamingo but do not have any intention of gambling at
any of the Harrahs properties - there are just too many other
choices!

That's just my point. I go 8-10 times a year giving them a little action during each trip to get to Platinum but my friend only goes a few times but plays heavier but barely making Platinum but get much better offers.

Didn't you learn in high school? You have to play hard to get:
