Guys,
I was gong to use my double-points coupon off the calendar Friday and
play most of the day, and I did, but....
As I drove into the garage at 10:00am, every floor was just about
filled, up to the 9th level. What the heck is going on? When I turned
the corner past the ATM machines on the top floor, I found a line of
about 200 people waiting to get to the Player's Booth. So I went
downstairs to the other booth and found almost the same thing.
They were giving away money (mostly $888)every 15 minutes to players
who had a card in the drum, then putting the card back in for the
next draw. I waited about 20 minutes to get to the booth and finally
got my double-points coupon set up, then got a card for the drum.
All day long, they were drawing names and giving the people 5 minutes
to get to the drum to claim their money. It seemed that they were
handing out money right and left, but were they? Most of the
afternoon draws were claimed, but as the day went on, it seemed like
most of the money went unclaimed. There were a lot of unclaimed
$2,000, $3,000, and $4,000 draws that weren't awarded because the
players had gone home.
They never did call my name, but with a full drum, it was a long-shot
anyway, so I really didn't expect it.
I played quarter Pick'Em most of the day, then some dollar Bonus
Poker at the progressive bar upstairs, then some 50 cent 9/6 JB. For
playing 8 hours, I probably earned about $35 on my double-
points coupon. If I had a day job, I wouldn't quit it.
Oh, and I did managed to win about a grand total of $50 for my 8
hour's play. I could have made that much walking the back roads and
collecting bottles and cans.
