Why make the $1 bet at all if you are only going to cover some of the
losses? My guess is that betting black and red would be less costly but I'll leave
it to the better minds to answer. And how about betting Come and Don't Come
on the craps table? My guess is that that's less costly than your other
play. Might take longer to resolve however.
