Machine Etiquette

What about couples who want to sit together so one can watch while the other
plays. I had an annoying situation at the Idle of Capri in Blackhawk last
year where a couple occupied two of the three Multistrike machines. The
husband played while the wife watched. When I politely asked if I could play her
machine since she did not appear to be playing, she stuck a dollar in it and
refused to give it up. I backed off and watched for awhile. No play. Then
I enlisted a slot floorperson who observed and agreed to talk to her. He
tried but they became adamant that it was her right...yada yada. He said there
was nothing more he could do.

I think these folks were new to VP and just didn't get what all the fuss was
about. But I was only in town for two days and I really wanted to play that
machine!
