machine changes demonination on its own

I want to preface this post by saying that I am an experienced player who's seen just about everything. I've been playing video poker since the mid 1990's and estimate I've played well over 4 million hands in the casino and have had well over 100 royals. I always planned on suplementing my income with video poker when I retired, but I found that when I retired 2 years ago I really didn't need the money. So I just play for fun and fun for me is .25 cent FPJW, FPDW, and 15/8 LD. I recently bought a house in NW Las Vegas and since Fiesta Rancho took out all the FPJW some time ago I go out to Fiesta Henderson on multiple point days. I'm from LA and a 20 mile drive in my new Mini Cooper is no big deal. This morning I played JW in an upright for a couple of hours, and when my shoulder and wrist and neck and everything else hurt I quit and sat down at a slant top to play LD. I had a nice run with 3 wild royals, 2 five of a kinds and the deuces, When I hit the
deuces I looked at the money and it was $775. I decided to play it up to $800 or down to $700. I was watching the money when it got to $701.25 and I hit the button and checked the money and instead of $700 it was $698.75. I was playing slowly at that point so I know I didn't play 2 hands and when I looked the machine showed .50 cents instead of the
.25 cents in the little box that shows the denomination. The machine changed the denomination by itself in the middle of play! In all the years I've played muti-denom machines I have never had this happen. Has anyone else ever had this happen where the denomnation changes in the middle of play?

Not quite the same thing, but close. And more painful. I was putting 3 Franklins in a multi-denom, multigame machine and had selected $1 Pick'em poker after the first 100 registered. I put in the next 2, and hit play max. I lost the hand, and saw I was down to $275. The machine had changed from $1 to $5.

Of course, I could have hit a quad or a RF, but then I'd be writing this on the VPFairytale forum.

I had this happen at the old Argosy in Indiana. I was playing DDB on a multi-denomination STP machine. I know I was playing quarters because I didn't have enough for 50 cents. I got a dealt quad aces with a deuce. I quickly held the hand and pushed deal and the screen started to flash. I was expecting $1500, but it was saying payout $3000, by the way I was playing 3 hands for those that might be confused. It switched denomination right around that hand. I thought it was cool.
