M/S Fair and Balanced?

I would argue that M/S is fair and imbalanced. Fair in that even when
someone has received a steep deline in their monthly cb, the total
amount of cb is still a fair amount usually in the .3-.5 range for
that shafted month. However there exists months when the cb is off
the scales good in the 2-3% range. It is as if M/S had a keno slot
machine that paid back 105% some months you would lose, but in the
long run you would be a net winner, playing a game you enjoy
recreationally...I wish someone would pay me to play golf.

I find it surprising how quickly people want to throw up their arms
and just say it is an irrational system ...I'll take my business
elsewhere...Amen!

If a small change in playing style changes weekly cb from $20 to $250
isn't it worth expending a little brain power to devise the
appropriate changes.

Sometimes a small amount of effort can reap large rewards. People
like Bob Dancer go nuts on playing perfect VP strategy...I'm amazed
how a small amount of effort to remove eggregeous playing mistakes, I
guess they didn't appear eggregeous before correction, can have
profound effects on expected return...it is relatively easy to reduce
sub-optimal play from ave. 2% to .1% and I would say worth the small
effort, it's the last roughly .1% that's a real chore.

appropriate changes.

Actually, the variation in BB I was responding to dropped the

player's return from .2% to .04%

I have not heard of a drop off that dramatic...are you really saying
you put $100,000 through in one month and got 4 x$10 cb? or some
multiple of that. At least you have the multiplier days, which
guarantee .3-.5 cb...not too shabby.

If you share the parameters on which the drop off was based, that
would be very helpful..i.e. were you playing very high ave. bet over
a short playing time e.g. 100 play .25 for 2 hours or was it based on
one or two marathon days and then no other visits that month?

A couple playing on the same card earned about $200 in same day cash
back each month for two months. 200K in play is required to achieve
that level of cb. One month's bounceback was $400 (4 $100 coupons);
the next month's was $80 (4 $20 coupons). Their BB rate declined
from .2% to .04%. They play a total of about 18-20 hours a week at
quarter 3-play/5-play, spin poker, and multi-strike. Some 50 cent MS
and dollar single line once in a while.

there is no way to reconcile this cb case with my cb experience
