M Progressives

You implied that the M has no non-progressive games any better than "barely" over 99%.

As I have said before I prefer good pay tables over large cash back. The only other game that is barely over 99% is a few 9/7 DB machines. Funny thing is last time I looked at the bonus poker single line in the high limit it was 7/5 at the $2 and $5 level. DB was at 9/6 in high limit as well. Since when did pay tables get worse when the limits were that much higher. This may have changed since I last looked but I doubt it.

OH BOY 13 machines with a 99.2% return!!!
WOW! Aren't they generous!

Just think of all the "free" buffets (1 a day) you can "earn" with a few thousand points of play each day! Not to mention all the gifts they give out. Of course you may have to wait 1/2 hr or more in line, since even top card holders don't get a line pass. But you can never have enough casino clothes or booze can you?

Surely this must figure into your "positive" EV for Aces Bonus.

Or you can play the "up to 104%" money eater progressives WHEN they get high enough. I know one fellow who has hit TWO of those monster Royals! Last one was dealt to him so no player chart required, LOL.

First of all, they're 99.43%, not 99.2%. And who were you quoting in
referring to the ""positive" EV for Aces Bonus?" Besides the fact
that with double points, not to mention bounce back, easily earned
buffets, and gifts, they are (barely) over 100%, I was only nitpicking
with the description of 99.43% being "barely" over 99%. And why the
emphasis on "WHEN" the progressives get high enough? Based on most
player's standards, they're almost always high enough. I have to
agree with Frank about being very surprised at the objection there is
to a 104% game just because it's more volatile than other games. So
what? And sometimes they're better than 104%. I still don't get that
"up to." Lastly, don't knock that buffet until you've tried it.
There's a reason for the long lines and high prices.

If I lived in LV I would play the progressives when they were over 11,000 coins. It is a decent enough play despite the variance. As long it is games like JOB or BP. When they go to crazy games like "Super Duper Triple Double Wild Red Seven Bonus Deluxe Jokers" my eyes glaze over and I start figuring out the quickest way to get to the Palms.

There are at least 3 lines at the buffet. One is for the suck ...,
ahem, nice people who have to stand in the longest line and, unless
they have earned enough points for the day or have some other way of
avoiding paying, pay. Another is the line pass line. Another is for
Platinum card holders, who bypass both lines. It takes $100,000 of
play in 3 consecutive months to get a Platinum card.

Wow and a free brunch too!

I was able to get 42,000 in action in a single day on the quarter and averaged a 104% edge.

So for me it's eight days of work over 3 months for:

1. $12,000 in theo
2. and a free brunch

Hmm...sounds OK to me. I might even be willing to pay for the lunch...na, against my religion. Paying for food could devastate my reputation. What would Jean say???

Well, Brad said to me today - I'm running out of the little hotel shampoos - why don't you buy me a big bottle of some cheap stuff? I looked at him like he had lost his mind - we don't use the B-word when we are talking about shampoo and conditioner and body wash - or food!!!

I sent out an emergency call to a friend who stays in hotels more than we do these days!!!!

Well, Brad said to me today - I'm running out of the little hotel shampoos -
why don't you buy me a big bottle of some cheap stuff? I looked at him like
he had lost his mind - we don't use the B-word when we are talking about
shampoo and conditioner and body wash - or food!!!

Or, in my case, napkins or pens or soap or ...

"It takes $100,000 of play in 3 consecutive months to get a Platinum
card."

Wow and a free brunch too!

lol

Why is everyone being so hard on the M? $100,000 of play can
theoretically earn more than 100 (or whatever 100,000 divided by 850
is) buffets.

Be nice!

And besides, 100,000 over three months is nothing! And it's certainly competitive with what other places require for their second level card. And I'll tellya, the M Resort is a really beautiful place.

"It takes $100,000 of play in 3 consecutive months to get a Platinum card."

I wonder is this might have been worded ambiguously. It doesn't take
$100,000 of play in each of any 3 consecutive months, for a total of
at least $300,000, but a total of $100,000 of play in any 3
consecutive months.

You can only earn ONE buffet per day whether you play 1700 points or 170,000 pts. So in 90 days that is only 90 buffets IF you eat there every day.
Of course with a 1700 per day average you mailer will be in the $5-$10 range.

1 buffet can be earned with points per meal period, or 2 or 3 per day.
The rules say that and I've done it. Hopefully, they'll realize how
ridiculous basing mailers on daily averages is.
