So Bob can take the rubble which is what the VP selection is over there and reduce it into smaller rubble?
A serious high roller, a guy who plays as high as Bob, told me this story. Bob came in a couple of months ago, when the QQs were in high limit, and wanted to play $1 5-play DDB. Slots' response was to shut the machine down, and take off the dollar denom (the .50 denom remained). The dollar denom went back up about 48 hours later. They later added a second machine, then eventually downgraded both.
The real play, if you had the 10x coupon, was to play the $5 Blazing Sevens, which was well over $9K, and with the meter, the card and the mail, was probably worth at least 5%, and closer to 7-8% in all probability. Some sucker hit that one, then cleaned up the other two, which were losers to play, slots' response was to downgrade the machines to $1 denom.
Now....that move puzzled me. If a casino as large as M has to sweat some guy beating them for $10-$12K at $5 reels...maybe something is going on there, like with the balance sheet, that we don't know about. The Marnells do a great job, no doubt, but this is like the absolutely wrong time to open a casino, and then they got smoked on any good VP they putout.
