Never used either of these. Folks have told me they are less expensive than cab? They say I need an app.
Trying to find info. I fly on Tuesday.

Way cheaper than a cab, and you won’t get long hauled. The prices for Uber and Lyft are always pretty close. I have both of their apps and usually compare prices and wait times before making a choice. You will have to supply credit card info to both apps in order to create an account. There are specific areas at the airport where you go to meet your ride. Go to the airport web site for details.

As most here have already opined, I agree. UBER and LYFT (IMHO) are superior to taxis and shuttles. Certainly, a rent car gives one more “freedom” throughout your LV visit.

I always used to rent cars, but the prices have gone nuts in the past few years. Now I only rent if I am going to Laughlin or somewhere like that.

Use autoslash. Just turned in my car , 5 days over the start of March madness. Original price, $240. Autoslash price, $145 for a midsize from hertz. Only downside is you might not get hertz points.
Been using autoslash for at least 5 years. Saves me money every time.
The thing is you used to be able to rent a car for a week for a lower price than that. Also I found that I would go from casino A to casino B and park the car and it would just sit there for a few days until I moved to the next casino. Now on most trips the only time I’ll rent a car for use in Las Vegas itself is if I’m going to do a shopping day and then I’ll just rent the car for a day. Unless you do a lot of casino hopping on a daily basis rental cars just aren’t worth it.

Lyft and Uber are really cheap in LV…there are SO many drivers that there’s not much of a surge pricing that impacts other cities.
I tend towards Uber and find that my trips cost from $5-9. (Generally from Caesars/PH to Luxor, or similar locations) Even at multiple trips in a day, it’s a cheap and easy option. All of the major hotels have pickup locations that are convenient and well marked.
The only downside is trying to take it from the airport. Not a huge pain, but you need to go to level 2M, which usually has one slow and overcrowded elevator. There are stairs up also, which is fine for the light packers like me. Those with a lot of luggage may have to wait a bit for the elevator. And they are NOT allowed to drop off at Level Zero, which is the express path to the gates.
