Here's a question. Let's say you play at the $1 level and buy into
your TITO machine for $1,000 - If you cash out for $1201, are you
required to fill out any paperwork for a $201 win or do you just cash
your ticket out at the ticket machine?

Just cash the ticket. The $1200 paperwork occurs when you win that amount
on one hand.

OK thanks. Never having won that much on one hand, what if you win
more than $1200 because say you're on a 10-Play, can you play the
amount down or does that large a win automatically "lockup" the
machine? Sorry for the follow up.

There's no paperwork required for cashing a ticket over $1200. I don't know how high it gets before there is some notification or paper work (or a visit to a cashier is required) but I have machine-cashed tickets in the $1500-$2000 ballpark lots of times.

In my experience, cashing in either single tickets for $3000+ or
multiple tickets that total $3000+ will cause the cashier to ask for
your players card (and they will write down your players card number).
I don't know if you can cash in a $3000+ ticket at one of the machines -
I don't trust those things with large tickets.
