I fully agree. I worked in a service industry (driving taxis and limos) and,
like most such folk, I'm a good tipper. My dad never worked in such an
industry but he also was a good tipper out of empathy - I remember once driving my
folks home from a restaurant in a blizzard and then being sent back to the
restaurant to carry a forgotten tip for our waiter. I've done that myself but by
credit card when I found that one of my dinner companions had stiffed the
waiter.
