Wondering if you followed up on this incident with Gaming Control. This is a
"correctable error" on the part of the casino, whether it was done
intentionally or accidentally. If you and your two friends had gone to Gaming with the
approximate time and the table number, it is quite possible that Gaming
could have obtained the surveillance tape recording play at that table. The dice
would most likely have been visible to the camera above, along with the size
of your wagers, and it seems possible that you could all have been paid,
eventually. It is also conceivable, though less likely, that the casino might
have been punished, especially if this sort of thing had been reported and
confirmed previously at that same establishment.
I know you have a low opinion of Gaming Control, and feel that they are
acting in the best interest of the casinos. But with three of you filing a claim
on the same incident, I don't think you could have been ignored, and it
certainly seems like you had little to lose since you were "thrown out" anyway!
If we feel we have been cheated by a casino, Gaming is our only resource.
They saved me $4000 in one incident a few years back at Arizona Charlie's. My
experience with them was quite positive, with several follow-up calls from
them giving me updates and progress reports, and asking further questions of me.
This was back when AC tried to retroactively (after I earned them) reduce
the point value for redemption of Dillards and Macy's gift cards. Gaming
eventually forced AC to adhere to the original point value, and within a few weeks
I received $12,000 worth of gift cards, instead of the $8000 that AC was
telling me my points were now worth. Personally, I would not hesitate for a
moment to deal with Gaming again. Fortunately, that was the only time I have felt
cheated by a casino.
