It certainly has a lot do with how welcome visitors are made to feel. One of
the most startling coincidences is how Newark-to-Las Vegas airfares climb
crazily the second week of November, right around the time of the NJEA
convention (which is in Atlantic City).
--------------I think most of us from Connecticut prefer Las Vegas over
either Atlantic City and Uncasville/Mashantucket.

-As one who lives in NJ I can definitely say this is true. I go to Las
Vegas 5 or 6 times a year and maybe make 1 trip into AC.

When I lived in NJ, blackjack was the only game I played...and given
the rules in AC...I certainly preferred to travel to Las Vegas...back
then there were plenty of 1D and 2D games to choose from.
Since I moved here (14 years ago)...I have gravitated away from
BJ...when the "opportunities" started drying up...and started
VP...now
it seems like the "opportunities" are starting to dry up there as
well...what's next? internet poker?
