LVSun - Music in casinos meant to be heard, not pondered

I always seem to hear "Free Falling" (Tom Petty, I think) as I watch my
credits doing the same thing.........

"Lonesome Loser" always seems to be played when I'm having a bad day.

My local casino actually plays pretty good music. I would
definitely say it's intended for a younger crowd, like early 30's
and late 20's, which is odd since the usual age group in the casino
is 50's and 60's.

Playing out at Fiesta Rancho with the fiancée Saturday night, we heard a DJ
in the lounge playing all kinds of deep, funky, dirty house music. Right in
front of the big bank of Optimum machines.

Not exactly what you'd expect here.

The lounge was mostly empty except for the two of us. Pretty much everyone
else within earshot was 30-40 years our seniors. We enjoyed it but I think
we were probably in the minority.
