On a related note, the owner of Jerry's Nugget Angelo Stamis (a confessed cheater, how is that guy allowed to be anywhere in the management chain of a casino?) has the nerve to attack Tom Robertson for playing with an advantage. I remember how Angelo was almost crying because he did not know what to do just before he threw all the advantage players out of Jerry's Nugget last year and I felt a little sorry for him. What a scumbag piece of garbage!

http://www.casinocitytimes.com/article/jerrys-nugget-executive-has-gaming-license-restored-55874

That is hilarious, I never even knew that. Sounds like he was an "advantage player" also. lol

By the way, when the article says that he was only allowed to be the food and beverage manager or whatever, why did that make me think of Robert De Niro?

Thanks for that link. I will forever have it bookmarked.

I accepted him throwing my driver's license on the ground and then telling me that I had thrown it on the ground. I accepted being told to leave. Maybe all of that had a cumulative effect, but there was something about him telling me that if I ask one more question, he'll have me arrested for trespassing that set me off. I didn't think he had the right to do that. That the video shows me on my way toward the nearest exit as I'm telling him my opinion of that statement of his shows how false his main defense that I repeatedly refused to leave is. It took some arm twisting to produce that video.

The guy's a moron no doubt about it. Even if you were told not to come back on a prior visit--which isn't clear--he didn't act like a human being. Making believe you're refusing to leave (who would do that anyway?) would be awful difficult to prove once Metro arrived and asked you if that were the case.

Sure all the irritation adds up and adding insult to injury by saying he'll have you arrested boils the blood. But it must have been an off day for you because I'm sure you're usually prepared for that kind of treatment somehow.

I've been at a machine when tapped on the shoulder, & taken into an office where I was told I was no longer welcome to play on a Strip property, then escorted out. They even gave me a letter. I swear they were expecting me to react violently because they insulted me every way possible while 2 guards held firmly onto my arms, and it was they who prolonged the event, not me. I might have said 3 words the whole time, and they were not four letter words. And unlike you, if they thought I cared where I played, they were dead wrong.

Even holding you by the arms and taking you into an office without your
consent is illegal..

Why would you find it strange, especially in Las Vegas, that a wealthy man in his late 40's would father two sons with most likely a much younger woman?

This is common behaviour everywhere among old and wealthy men. Many don't bother with the marriage issue either. For some reason old and poor men don't seem to have as many willing partners or maybe their partners are just using birth control.

I think the lawyers all say that you should never agree to go to any backroom or office out of the public eye and away from cameras. That's usually where the bad stuff happens. If they don't want you to play, ask to cash out your comp and leave. If they won't let you cash out your comp, call gaming. You have their number on your cellphone, right? As long as you haven't committed a felony, they can't detain you, that would be false arrest.

I can't remember when, but at some point he must have thought that I had previously been 86ed, but, as is now admitted by everyone, I wasn't in the group that had been a few weeks before.

No, it wasn't a particularly off day for me. I always act like that. My girlfriend often reminds me that I have no personality.

I was surprised at something my attorney is saying about my case. I hope I've understood it correctly. A policeman/woman may legally detain someone whom he or she believes has committed a crime and it wouldn't be false imprisonment, but a private individual may only detain someone who has actually committed a crime or the detention is false imprisonment. "Probable cause" is irrelevant to a private individual. That I was found to not have committed a crime necessarily means that I was falsely imprisoned, even if there had been probable cause to believe I had committed a crime.

My understanding is that is correct. If I remember correctly, Nersesian's "Beat the Players" says the same thing.

Under current Nevada law, casinos have the right to trespass (evict) any customer for any reason. They only have the right to detain a customer until police arrive if they are going to press charges and if the charges are upheld in court, otherwise they are committing false arrest and the customer is entitled to compensation for having his civil rights violated. Since casino security and management are not police, any detention is a citizen's arrest and must meet those standards. Probable cause is not sufficient to conduct a legal citizen's arrest. Citizens can sue each other, and they can report each other to the police, but they can't legally arrest or detain each other, unless the standards for a citizen's arrest (detainee determined by a court of law to have committed a felony) are met.

Bob and Frank should get Nersesian on their radio show.
