I had no idea Griffin was such a penny ante operation.

Their offices are actually a shack on Beverly Griffins property and
they have perhaps 5 employees. Think about this for a second, 150
casinos pay them. All they do is take the information about cheats
and advantage players given to them by those 150 casinos, compile it
and give it back to them. Sounds like a wonderful cash cow to me!
The other side is a guess on my part. Modern technology is making
them obsolete and mega corps such as Harrah's and MGM have the
ability to do what Griffin does in house, so contracts may not be
renewing or may be renewing but at substantially lower rates. That
kind of stuff should become clear in the next month or so.
For years Griffin has slandered and defamed honest people by putting
their names in the book along with cheats. Probably not a big
percentage of these but they and the casinos did not care because
the courts protected them in the past. Now, since the
Grosjean/Russo case there may be other cases around the corner. If
this is the case, the Griffins may be looking at the chapter 11 and
the first stage. Later going to a chapter 7 and riding into the
sunset with their personal assets which are not part of the
bankruptcy.
On the casino end; they may have begun seeing Griffin as both
obsolete and a danger in that they could land up paying judgements
to people if the casino acts on wrong information supplied to them
by Griffin.
The operation is penny ante because it has been lately designed that
way probably for this exact purpose.
