This game actually originated at the Four Queens (LV). The only difference
was that they took 4 quarters but paid 1000 for 1 instead of 800 on the 4
coin royal. They used to have a row of these alternating with four coin 9-6
jacks also paying 1000 for 1 on the royal. That bank of games was called
"Four pays More". That house also had FPDW and FP deuces deluxe at the time
so I preferred the extra 1% EV. The 98.91% game first showed up at the
Casino Queen and Paradise is East St. Louis IL and East Peoria IL later at
the Empress in Joliet IL. I am from the Chicago Area and saw and played
that game at all those houses when those were the best games there.

They were labelled Illinois Deuces by Lenny Fromme in 1993 , long before
they were called airport deuces.

"I think the best game is DB 9/6" ...well I hope not. The
phrase/reference started there at McCarran, "Airport Deuces". I am
not sure who first coined the phrase, like the Skip H. "NSUD".They did migrate, those 15/9 (98.9%) paytables, to Illinois though.
