LVSun - $3.9 million slot jackpot hit at LV airport
Well, that may quiet the people that tell others not to play the
slots at the airport. What a nice hit while waiting for a plane,
especially on the quarter WOF. I had been watching that jackpot keep
going up and figured it was "due", which turned out to be true.

Regarding the Wheel of Fortune game, and similar GTI progressives,
does anyone know whether the odds are the same at all casinos, and
other locations such as the airport?
Take the RedWhiteBlue game, for example, which is included in most
banks of WOF games. Are the minor win odds identical at all sites?
And what about the SPIN odds? Is there a GTI employee on this board
who can answer this question?
I watched people play WOF yesterday at the SunCoast, and never saw
anyone get ahead over 30 minutes of play. I saw only two SPIN wins
(for 20 and 30 coins) ... otherwise, nothing of consequence during
literally hundreds of games by five different players. That bank was
sucking in money like a vacuum cleaner. I've watched people play at
other casinos and usually see better results, for some players.
I'm hoping GTI insists the odds be identical at all locations for all
wins (the small wins, SPIN, and big jackpot).
IGT owns the multi-site progressive games like WOF. I have been told by
several slot directors that they are not offered in differing payout
percentages but are all identical. This sounds reasonable so I believe it
is true.

On two separate occasions, I have seen people hit Royal Flushes on
quarter VP machines at McCarran. They hit, it's just that the pay
scales are fairly bad. I think the best game is DB 9/6.

"I think the best game is DB 9/6" ...well I hope not. The
phrase/reference started there at McCarran, "Airport Deuces". I am
not sure who first coined the phrase, like the Skip H. "NSUD".
They did migrate, those 15/9 (98.9%) paytables, to Illinois though.

They were labelled Illinois Deuces by Lenny Fromme in 1993 , long before they were called airport deuces.
